Man United Agree Deal For Transfer Of 22-Year-Old Star
Manchester United are hopeful 22-year-old Joel Pereira will grow stronger in experience between the sticks, at Portuguese outfit Vitoria Setubal, after both clubs reach an agreement for the player, per reports.
New arrival Lee Grant was initially signed as a replacement for Pereira, as revealed by Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho is keen on making sure the goalkeeper get massive experience, and has agreed to a season-long loan deal with Portuguese outfit Vitoria Setubal, to see that he gets plenty of it.
The 22-year-old, who has been a part of United’s pre-season preparation at the United States, is not adept enough, to crawl his way into the Portuguese’s first team-sheet.
Lee Grant was signed to bring on his experience, and to take his slot, as Pereira moves out on loan to aid his development and hone his skills better.
Portuguese outlet Record, disclosed that Manchester United have sanctioned the goalkeeper’s move to join Vitoria Setubal.
The same story claimed that United have an agreement in place for the youngster.
The two clubs reached an agreement for the youngster on Monday night finally, and he is expected to fly to Portugal to complete his season-long loan switch.
Pereira is still contracted at Old Trafford, until 2021. His new loan spell at Vitoria will be his second, after spending an earlier stretch at Portuguese side Belenenses .
