Chelsea youngster Kelsey Palmer was sent out on another loan move to Championship side Derby County for the rest of the season, according to reports. During his time at the Kirklees Stadium last season, the youngster helped the club get promoted to Premier League. The youngster hasn’t been seeing much game-time for Huddersfield this season, he has only featured in just four Premier League matches and one appearance in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues were unhappy with his lack of first-team opportunities, therefore, ended his loan at Huddersfield sending him to Derby County who are set to give him more regular actions to prove his quality.
The England Under-21 international is believed to serve as replacement for Derby’s midfielder Johnny Russell, who is set to join American Soccer League. Palmer who hasn’t played any match for the Blues since his move to Stamford in 2013 will hope to boost his chances of playing for his parent club by giving good account of himself during his time with the Rams.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has welcome former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud to Stamford Bridge. The 32-year-old striker ended his six year stay at the Emirates Stadium due to lack of regular action, and he hopes to feature regularly in the star-studded Chelsea team.
