Ed Woodward Sanction £54m Man United Bid For CB To Solve Solskjaer Concerns

Manchester United are in the dugout as the chase for a strong central defender is still topping their transfer list.

The Red Devils have happened on success since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins of the outfit, but that could be briefed if the Norwegian cannot convince United’s hierarchy to sign an excellent defender this month.

The club’s top gun Ed Woodward had refused dispatching cash for transfers last summer during Jose Mourinho’s stint as United’s boss.

But a shabby line of defence and the extra load on the shoulders of David de Gea, could force the vice-chairman to bend a bit.

Slovakia international Milan Skriniar has re-emerged on the radar of United.

United had been linked with the 23-year-old before now, but looks to have turn up the heat in his chase this month.

Skriniar will cost the Mancunians a lot, but that will be no problem for the world’s richest club.

United is said to have submitted an improved 54 million pounds bid to Inter Milan, per the Daily Star

Though both clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the tabled offer, but with Inter’s pursuit for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin however, United could use that to trick them into playing right into their hands and letting go of Skriniar this month.

United are sixth in the Premier League log behind Londoners Arsenal.
