Georginio Wijnaldum And Trent Alexander-Arnold Return To Training
Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of the weekend by the return to training of Trent Alexander-Arnold and midfielders Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Reds only need a point against Saturday afternoon’s visitors Bournemouth to reclaim top spot in the Premier League, but Jurgen Klopp’s men will be keen to return to winning ways after draws against West Ham and Leicester in their last two matches.
Henderson and Wijnaldum missed Monday night’s 1-1 draw at the London Stadium, as did Alexander-Arnold who was absent for the third game in succession due to a knee complaint.
There was no sign, however, of centre-back Dejan Lovren during training at Melwood on Thursday, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not ready to rejoin the first-team group after 10 months out following knee surgery.
Joe Gomez also remain sidelined, with the England defender recovering from an operation after suffering a setback in his return from a fractured leg.
