Man United And Chelsea Told To Pay £44m For Star Midfielder
Chelsea and local league rivals Manchester United have been told to cough up Eder Militao’s clause fee before his leave can be sanctioned, according to reports inside football.london.
Militao is in the shopping list of both outfits. Chelsea have a down-at-the-heels backline, which underlines their need to beef up their aging backfield.
The Blues were reportedly caught off guard in a thrilling encounter a fortnight ago in front of fans when Pochettino’s men heavily walloped them.
Sarri called for a need to reset things after he panned the players for their sloppy show.
It is a two-horse race for Porto’s Militao, with United also in the running for the defender.
Mourinho is keen on stitching loose ends in United’s backend and has been given the nod of approval to hunt for recruits in the January transfer window.
United face a terrible threat of falling even further down the log if they can’t remedy the situation at the turn of the year.
Porto is aware of the mounting interests on the player and will not be involved in arguing down a softer price for Militao.
The Brazilian has been outstanding this season for the Portuguese outfit. Militao is very versatile and can function as both a right-back or as a central defender.
