Maurizio Sarri To Chelsea; Pep Guardiola Makes Major Revelation For Chelsea Fans

Pep Guardiola Makes Major Revelation For Chelsea Fans

As speculation surrounding the appointment of former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as the manager of Chelsea continue to gather momentum, Man City boss Pep Guardiola reckons that he would love to see the Italian tactician in the Premier league, according to report.

Antonio Conte is currently away on holidays but there are claims that he would not be managing the Blues next season, with claims that Maurizio Sarri is favourites to replace him.

Napoli have already appointed former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager but Sarri will only be able to leave them in the coming weeks when his deal expires. Chelsea will have to pay his release clause if they want to appoint him now but it appears that they are waiting for the expiration of the contract.

While the fans of Chelsea are unsure of their next boss, Guardiola wants Sarri to make a move to the Premier League.

“If he comes to England, it would be a pleasure,” the Manchester City boss told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“For somebody like me, who loves watching games at home on the sofa, Napoli are spectacular and his brand of football is a joy to watch.

“Often a coach is judged on wins, but you’ve also got to look at the shape as well as the substance.

“Sarri had Empoli and Napoli playing great football, and he did a fantastic job.”

Chelsea fans are heavily divided over the choice of Sarri as probable replacement for Antonio Conte, with many of them claiming Conte is a better coach. However, we wait to see how the whole thing pans out.
