English youngster Sam Durrant has completed a permanent move with Blackburn Rovers after being released by Liverpool, according to report.

Liverpool warded off competition from Manchester City to sign Bobby Dunca  and now, creative midfielder Durrant is heading for Rovers, where he will join Billy Barr’s Under-18s squad.

The rising star put pen to paper on a one-year professional contract  and two-year scholarship deal and he will officially become a Black Burn rovers player on the 1st of July.

The youngster spent six years with Everton before joining Liverpool – and now, he laid bare his delight at signing for his new club.

Durrant said: “It’s great because I believe I’ve got an opportunity here and it’s a great chance for me to progress as a player and as a person.

“This club provides opportunities for young players to progress and play first team football and hopefully that’s something I can do.

“There are some great players and some good people to work with here, so that can only make me a better player. I can’t wait to get going and settle in.”
